Sumy State University organized it with the Silesian University of Technology (Silesian University of Technology) and the IEEE Nanotechnology Council, with the support of the IEEE Magnetics Society and the International Union for Pure & Applied Physics.

About 350 participants took part in the conference, including almost 100 online. More than 400 abstracts were sent and co-authored by about 1,600 scientists.

Presentations were made by world-renowned scientists who work in highly rated scientific institutions in the USA and Europe, particularly professors: Yuriy GOGOTSI, Sandro CARRARA, Laura GREEN, and Nikola PINNA.

Three main topics of the conference: nanomagnetism and magnetic materials, application of nanotechnology in biomedicine, multifunctional thin films and coatings.

The best reports are awarded special awards from sponsors. In addition, the IEEE Magnetics Society, the IEEE Nanotechnology Council and the US-Ukraine Foundation Biotechnology Initiative provided about 80 grants to young scientists and Ukrainians who stayed to work in Ukraine.

Scientific works that meet IEEE requirements will traditionally be published in the conference proceedings and indexed by Scopus and other scientometric databases.

The next conference, which Sumy State University will prepare with the Slovak Technical University, will be held in Bratislava from September 10 to 15, 2023.
