On November 23, 2022, a laboratory session on the topic "Physico-chemical methods for the study of high-molecular substances using the example of paint and varnish materials" was held at the base of the LLC "VP POLISAN" enterprise. The session was conducted by Roman Volodymyrovych Khmizenko, head of the research department. Students listened to a presentation on the use of viscometry during the production of paint and varnish materials. Then in the laboratory of the enterprise under the leadership of Roman Volodymyrovych, experiments were conducted to determine the physical and chemical parameters of LFM, namely: the degree of grinding, coverage, drying time, the density of LKF, mass fraction of non-volatile substances were investigated; determined the viscosity of LFM at different temperatures (10°С, 20°С, 30°С); investigated the main physicochemical properties of paint coatings (adhesion, hardness, water resistance) and their optical properties (gloss, dullness). It was tested experimentally The chemical resistance of the coatings to solvents (white alcohol and xylene) was experimentally tested and it was confirmed that the LFM coatings, formed by a chemical mechanism, are resistant to solvents. During the laboratory session, the students received answers to their questions. We thank our employers, in particular Khmyzenko R.V. and Rudnichenko O.I., for organizing classes at the enterprise.
