The Department of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry was wounded, mutilated, partially destroyed, but in formation side by side with other departments of TESET of Sumy State University. On the night of August 18, 2025, the enemy struck the central campus of Sumy State University. Our department, a leading institution for training chemists in the region, suffered. In terms of classroom equipment, we were completely different from many of our colleagues, which greatly complicated the work of dismantling rubble. Thank you to everyone who contributed to «scary» work in chemical laboratories. The most valuable thing we lost is specific chemical equipment, furniture, hoods.. We call on our stakeholder partners and leading institutions of the Ukrainian chemical industry to please not stand aside. We would be grateful for any help and support in popularising chemical education among young people in the city of Sumy.
