From August 25 to 29, 2025, the 10th anniversary Extreme Light Infrastructure Summer School (ELISS 2025) took place in Dolní Břežany, Czech Republic. The event is held annually, offering students and young researchers an opportunity to immerse themselves in the field of laser science and cutting-edge laser technologies, including lectures by leading experts, hands-on training, and laboratory tours. This year, students from Ukraine had the opportunity to join the lectures online.
"I would like to sincerely thank the organizers of the ELI Sustain Summer School 2025 for this incredible scientific event, filled with information about the world of advanced laser science and its role in solving global challenges. For a whole week, from August 25 to 29 of this year, I had the opportunity to attend this event online and expand my knowledge in the field of laser technologies. I was particularly interested in the sessions dedicated to laser-accelerated particles for medicine and space research. It was clearly evident how fundamental discoveries find practical applications in solving global problems.
Special thanks to all the lecturers - leading scientists from around the world - for their willingness to share their knowledge and inspire a new generation of researchers." - Kira Chudesa, 4th-year student of the Applied Chemistry Educational Progra.
