From October 28 to 31, the XIV International Festival “Sikorsky Challenge 2025” was held at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute – the main event of the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem. This year, 126 projects from 24 cities of Ukraine were submitted to the competition. 87 finalist projects were selected for the final, among which were three startup teams from Sumy State University in the nominations “Defense and Security”, “Energy Sustainability and Security, Ecology and “Green Chemistry” and “Biomedical Engineering and Human Health”.
The team of the Faculty of TeSET TerraVita Recovery - representatives of the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry (Ostroga Ruslan, Skydanenko Maksym, Ostroga Denis, Ponomareva Lyudmila) - became a finalist of the festival in the section "Energy Sustainability and Security, Ecology and "Green Chemistry".
The Sikorsky Challenge Festival is not just an annual competition, but has become a platform for the development of innovative startups in Ukraine. Within its framework, training, mentoring sessions, meetings with experts and investors take place, and new partnerships are created.
We thank the organizers of the Festival for their significant contribution to the development of innovations, and we wish all participants of the festival new ideas, bold decisions and new achievements.
