On March 20, 2026, a webinar dedicated to academic integrity in higher education was held at the TeSET Faculty of Sumy State University.
The invited speaker was Olena Bondarenko, Head of the Academic Integrity Promotion Group at Sumy State University. She delivered a presentation titled “Integrity in Science and Education: Rules of Academic Culture for Researchers.”
Bachelor’s and Master’s students, as well as faculty members, were invited to participate in the event.
During the webinar, participants discussed:
- key principles of academic integrity in educational and research activities;
- common violations of academic ethics and their legal and reputational consequences;
- effective tools for preventing plagiarism and ensuring proper citation of academic sources;
- the role of academic integrity in building a researcher’s reputation and a successful professional career;
- the use of artificial intelligence in education: opportunities, risks, and guidelines for ethical application.
The event provided a platform for constructive dialogue and helped raise awareness among students and faculty about academic culture standards, as well as current challenges related to the use of modern technologies in research and education.
