On June 17, 2026, the Department of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry (TCP) at Sumy State University marked a significant milestone — the successful defense of Bachelor's qualification theses by students of the "Applied Chemistry" educational and professional program (Specialty 102 "Chemistry").

The state certification was conducted online, meeting high organizational and methodical standards. Despite modern challenges, the full-time graduates demonstrated profound theoretical knowledge, mature scientific thinking, and excellent experimental skills.

This year's qualification theses stood out due to their diversity, relevance, and strong practical orientation. The research topics focused on the most pressing demands of modern science, ecology, and industry, including: Environmental safety and regional recovery;  Innovative eco-technologies; Quality control and product safety; Advanced materials and specialized technologies.

The Examination Board highly commended the professional training of the graduates. Board members emphasized that most of the experimental developments possess genuine practical value and are ready for implementation in the real sector of the economy or environmental monitoring systems.

Based on the results of the successful defense, the Board unanimously recommended that all graduates pursue further education at the second (Master's) level of higher education to advance their scientific achievements.

We sincerely congratulate our newly qualified Bachelors and their academic supervisors on this successful defense! We wish our young colleagues to keep moving forward, reach new scientific heights, and have a peaceful sky for the fulfillment of all their professional endeavors!
