Rostyslav Zaporozhets, a student of the Applied Chemistry educational and professional programme, participated in the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme at Politehnica University of Timișoara (Timișoara, Romania), at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection from 2 March to 12 July 2026.

During his mobility, he studied in the field of “Innovative Inorganic, Polymer and Composite Materials: Synthesis, Properties, Design and Applications in Sustainable Technologies.”

Sharing his impressions of the programme, Rostyslav says: “The Erasmus+ KA171 programme in Timișoara was my first academic mobility experience. Moreover, it was the first time I had the opportunity to plan a trip to another country, and I am more than satisfied with the time I spent in Romania.

At first, as a chemistry student, I was primarily interested in the opportunity to study in modern and technologically advanced laboratories. However, during the mobility, I also had the chance to meet many international students, improve my English, and travel around Eastern Europe.

Overall, I see no reason not to try academic mobility at least once during your university years.”

Participation in the Erasmus+ programme gave Rostyslav the opportunity to gain international educational experience, work in a modern laboratory environment, expand his professional and cultural network, improve his language skills, and discover new countries.
